About The Event

“Windworks. Powering Economy” is the main platform for experts, policymakers, investors, and other stakeholders to network and discuss opportunities, challenges, and best practices in the wind energy sector across the Baltic States.
This spring WindWorks will highlight the role of the wind energy industry as a significant economic driver for the Baltic States.  Wind energy is more than just a response to climate change. It is about creating new jobs, advancing technologies, driving industries and even boosting our security. The conference will address what the Baltic wind scene looks like today, and how can we work together to encourage brave decisions which power our economies by creating a vibrant and trustworthy investment environment in the entire Baltic Sea Region.
“WindWorks. Powering Economy” will be your chance to be present at the most awaited energy conference in Latvia, hear talks from experts and policymakers, and participate in discussions on the following topics:

•    The current situation and building appropriate electricity transmission infrastructure;
•    Solving energy security issues;
•    Sotlight on ports as platforms for the development of offshore wind, green energy and connected industries;
•    State aid importance for ensuring a competitive wind energy market;
•    Financing  opportunities for wind energy projects and looking for possibilities for PPA projects in the Baltics.
The conference will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, technical sessions, and networking opportunities, all aimed at facilitating dialogue and collaboration among participants.
Additionally, for the first time ever, during WindWorks we will have a chance to look at our industry with a healthy dose of humor through “Wind energy stand-up”.

The target audiences for the conference are:
-    Industry professionals and experts involved in onshore and offshore wind energy development;
-    Government officials and policymakers responsible for energy policy and regulation;
-    Investors and financiers interested in funding green energy projects;
-    Environmental organizations and stakeholders concerned with sustainable development;
-    Academic and research institutions conducting studies on wind technologies and impacts.

The event will be conducted in English, with select sessions broadcasted live.
